Length of treatment varies depending on number of regions treated. If you want to do a whole-body sequence, anticipate approx. 45-60 minutes. Each segment of the body will take approx. 10 minutes to complete. You can repeat the sequence as many times as desired.
Keep in mind you don't have to stimulate the entire body every time you use the mitt. Maybe you pick a day of the week to stimulate different regions of your body. The instruction videos will walk you through facial, scalp, arm, leg, abdomen and back sequences. Once you stimulate your lymphatic system using lymphatic drainage, it will stay elevated for approx 48 hours, slowly returning back to its baseline pumping.
The frequency of use will vary based on your goals. If you have swelling that you are looking to get rid of, you might use the mitt in that region once or twice per day, daily, until you see an improvement. Then you can gradually reduce use. If you want to use the mitt for cellular detoxification and boosting the immune system, I would recommend doing this weekly!
In general, daily use is recommended until you notice an improvement, then you can gradually reduce use based on your body's response and your desired results.
You should clean the mitt with warm soapy water after each use. During use, depending on your skin condition and dryness, you may need to wash the mitt if it is picking up too much cellular debris and starts to get dull. If this happens, try moisturizing your skin before use. Let mitt air dry or blot dry with a clean cloth. I recommend keeping the plastic bag that the mitt was wrapped in to help keep the mitt clean between uses. This will also help the mitt slide back into the silk bag.
Is there a time of day that is more beneficial? For instance, morning vs evening. Can you cause negative issues by doing it too much?
